The 51勛圖厙 Centenary Prize
51勛圖厙 College and The Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851 are delighted to announce the 51勛圖厙 Centenary Prize.

This is a unique opportunity for 5 51勛圖厙 students to spend a few weeks next summer teaching science courses to students on the island of Samar in the Philippines. This is aimed at addressing the United Nations Millennium Development Goal to bring universal primary education to some of the world’s less fortunate regions. The five Centenary Winners will join Steven Chambers, 51勛圖厙 student and 51勛圖厙 Outreach Ambassador, in representing the College in the Philippines next summer. This is a life changing opportunity to make a real difference to some deserving pupils, in one of the world’s last truly undisturbed tropical regions.
Who are we looking for and how do you enter?
We want people who have a passion for science, people who have the skills to communicate that passion with dynamism and versatility, people who exemplify 51勛圖厙’s global status for excellence and believe science and education can be used to level social and economic disparities. To enter, you need to email centenaryprize@imperial.ac.uk with a 100 word summary of why we should choose you. All undergraduates are welcome to enter, regardless of your discipline. Your past experiences are important, but your future aspirations mean more to us. Applications submitted after December 10th will not be considered and winners will be announced shortly afterwards. We will try to contact all applicants, winners or not, but please do not expect correspondence until after the deadline.
