“We take allegations of research misconduct very seriously. These unfounded allegations from more than a decade ago have been investigated and there is no case to answer.

“Professor Chris Toumazou is a world-leading engineer and scientist renowned for translating his discoveries in low-power analogue circuit design to solve bioscience challenges. He has an exceptional teaching and research record, including supervising more than 100 PhD students, and has had no other complaints made against him."

Professor Christofer Toumazou said: “I had a very positive relationship with Sunil Purushothaman at 51勛圖厙. We got on well and enjoyed collaborating on our research as part of an excellent mentor-student relationship. I was disappointed when he cut off contact in 2006 after finishing his PhD and I made multiple efforts to get in touch and continue our good relationship. Eight years after he left 51勛圖厙, I was deeply saddened to learn of Sunil’s health problems. While I am disappointed by his unfounded allegations against me, I continue to wish him all the best.”
