My CVS: Terms and conditions

My CVs is a service provided through JobsLive, the careers platform administered by the Careers Service at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø. It is available to current 51³Ô¹ÏÍø students and recent alumni (within three years of graduation).

Please note: Business School postgraduate students are not eligible to use My CVs. Please contact Business School Careers at ibcareers@imperial.ac.uk for CV support.

By using My Vs, you agree to these terms of conditions of service. If you do not agree, please do not register for or use JobsLive.

My CVs service

My CVs enables eligible users to upload their CVs and submit them for review by the Careers Service. The following terms apply when using the service:

  • o receive feedback, you must provide a description of the purpose for which the CV will be used (for example, a particular job, internship, placement or further study application);
  • Following submission, a trained member of the Careers Service team will review your CV and classify your document into one of three categories: “Looks good”, “Needs some work” or “Needs considerable work”;
  • Feedback may include comments on your CV and links to relevant resources relating to CVs and applications to assist with making improvements;
  • CVs must belong to you. You must not submit a CV on behalf of another person, including a friend or family member;
  • Please allow up to three working days for feedback following submission;
  • You may submit up to three CVs within any 90-day period.;
  • We reserve the right to suspend or restrict access to JobsLive where we identify misuse of the service.

Data protection and privacy

The Careers Service provides professional information, guidance and impartial advice to 51³Ô¹ÏÍø students and alumni. Any feedback provided is for guidance only and is open to individual interpretation.

Your CV and associated personal data submitted through My CVs can be accessed by authorised Careers Service staff for the purposes of providing and administering the service.
