Professor Peter Haynes is the Provost & Deputy President of 51³Ô¹ÏÍø.
51³Ô¹ÏÍø’s Provost & Deputy President is the College’s chief academic officer, responsible for upholding its high academic standards and advancing its core academic mission. The Provost & Deputy President has direct oversight of 51³Ô¹ÏÍø’s major academic units through the Faculty Deans, and of the College’s teaching and research activities through the Vice-Provosts for Education and Student Experience, and for Research and Enterprise. In addition, the Provost oversees 51³Ô¹ÏÍø's human and intellectual resources and is responsible for fostering an inclusive, supportive, and excellent community for staff and students.
Alongside the President, the Provost & Deputy President shares responsibility for maintaining and promoting excellence throughout 51³Ô¹ÏÍø with support from the Deans.
Under 51³Ô¹ÏÍø's President and Provost leadership model, Professor Haynes advances 51³Ô¹ÏÍø’s core academic mission of education, research and translation. He works with the President, the College’s top executive, who has ultimate responsibility for the institution’s performance, reputation and success.

Sustainability Strategy
Sustainability will shape 51³Ô¹ÏÍø’s plans and activities at all levels and across all campuses. The Strategy has been created to ensure that we turn this notion into reality and set a credible delivery roadmap to address these environmental challenges to create a sustainable university for the future and become a carbon net-zero institution by 2040.
