The ICB's Research Board purpose is to ensure that, by design, there is a high degree of overlap and complementarity between the various research projects that fall under the ICB's umbrella. It thereby promotes the generation of new ideas, where common problems are being viewed from a variety of perspectives.
The ICB Research Board also forms the panel which awards the ICB EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training projects.
