Margarita was a PhD student in the Robot Vision Group from 2006 to 2009.

What is she doing now: I am Chancellor's Fellow and Lecturer (Assistant Professor), leading the Vision for Robotics Lab at the  of the School of Informatics at the University of Edinburgh. Previously, I was at the  of , where I held the post of Deputy Director, Senior Researcher and Lecturer between 2010-2013.

My research interest is in Vision for Robotics, focusing on real-time perception for micro-aerial vehicles and I have the pleasure to work with some brilliant students and researchers in this area, leading the scientific activities in the following European projects:

  •  aiming at developing a robotic team to aid alpine search and rescue,
  • , researching the technologies necessary for automating personal aerial transportation,
  • , building a small swarm of micro helicopters equiped with cameras to autonomously map a disaster area ().

I am teaching part of the  Masters course, while I am also supervising Masters and Bachelors projects.
