Concrete Durability
The Concrete Durability Group was established at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø in 1987, specializing in all aspects of concrete degradation. We aim to advance current understanding of deterioration processes (e.g. reinforcement corrosion, sulphate attack, alkali-silica reaction & freeze-thaw attack) and to develop more effective methods of design, assessment and repair of concrete structures.
To realize these objectives a mixture of experimental and modelling techniques are utilized including microscopy, mass transport measurements and numerical modelling.
