Supervisor: Dr Nathan Skene, Dr Mikhail Spivakov
Location: Level 7, Sir Michael Uren Hub, White City Campus, 86 Wood Lane, W12 0BZ
About Me
I am a PhD student in the Skene laboratory in the Department of Brain Sciences within the UK Dementia Research Institute centre at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø. My project is focussed on investigating transcription factor's associated with Alzheimer's in microglia, using SLDP.
Beyond my experience with AI and enthusiasm for the way computer science makes you think, I have always found biology fascinating, especially genetics. This opportunity in Nathan’s lab to work on a problem so close to my heart, leveraging tools I love, in a field I enjoy learning about, is a real privilege. I hope to be able to contribute meaningfully to the goal of curing Alzheimer’s and other neurodegenerative diseases!
Outside of work, I enjoy tinkering with AI models/agents and other computational projects, alongside boxing and other sports.
