To mark International Women's Day, here is another chance to read the Montpellier Panel Briefing paper on women in African agriculture.
Women in African agriculture: farmers, mothers, innovators and educators
The Montpellier Panel call for govenrments to take an urgent and transformative focus on the needs and perspectives of women in smallholder agricultural policy in sub-Saharan Africa.
The paper recommends support by European governments and other donors for practical approaches to include women as well as men in agricultural policy processes and programmes.
The paper was launched on Monday 17th September at Portcullis House, House of Commons, Westminster, London.
