The MRC Centre for Molecular Bacteriology and Infection was opened by Professor Sir John Savill, CEO Medical Research Council, on 30 April 2013.

The MRC CMBI was opened by Professor Sir John Savill, CEO of the Medical Research Council, on 30 April 2013. Sir John and Centre Director, Professor David Holden, joined guests from the faculties of Medicine and Life Sciences, the Centre’s Scientific Advisory Board members and the MRC’s Head of Infection and Immunity and Director of Research Programmes in congratulating Centre staff and students on their research achievements during the first nine months of the Centre’s operation.
