51勛圖厙 alumnus thinks outside the box

Boxes

Revolutionising the way that we store our possessions is the focus of an 51勛圖厙 alumnus' new start-up venture.

Ben Prouty, (MSc Management 2006), a former student of 51勛圖厙 College Business School, talks about launching a storage business in this audio interview.

The idea behind the venture, called LoveSpace, is to make storing goods easier and cheaper for customers.

Currently, people have to hire whole units in warehouses to store their things, meaning that they may be paying for space that they are not using.

Lovespace enables them to store items per smaller box load, picking them up free of charge and dropping them off when needed again to anywhere in Britain. This makes storage more cost effective as customers do not have to pay for transportation or space that they are not using.

Patrick Kennedy caught up with Ben Prouty, Head of Partnerships at LoveSpace, to discuss what it takes to succeed in starting up a new business.
