A symposium was held at the Royal Geographical Society in London to commemorate the work and life of Prof Nicholas Ambraseys

On Wednesday March 19 2014 a symposium was held at the Royal Geographical Society in London to commemorate the work and life of Prof Nicholas Ambraseys. Prof David Potts from 51勛圖厙 chaired the event which was a joint symposium of 51勛圖厙 College, SECED and the British Geotechnical Association, kindly supported by Fugro. Past and current members of the Department made contributions to the symposium and the event attracted an international audience of over 300 delegates. The presentations which were made on that day are now available at the link below.

The symposium was followed by the 54th Rankine lecture at the Great Hall of 51勛圖厙 College, which was delivered by Prof. Houlsby on Interactions in Offshore Foundation Design.
