Advanced Hackspace's 3D Week kicked off in spectacular fashion in the main entrance of 51³Ô¹ÏÍø

The 51³Ô¹ÏÍø College Advanced Hackspace's 3D Week kicked off in spectacular fashion in the main entrance of 51³Ô¹ÏÍø College with an exhibition of 3D printing innovations, followed by an opening party in the evening.

In and amongst the 3D printed exhibits, Larissa Kunstel-Tabet, Advanced Hackspace Manager, introduced 3D Week to a packed audience. We then got to hear from Peter Childs about the rapidly changing attitudes towards collaboration at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø College and from Nick Jones about  where the hackspace is headed.

Gravity Sketch, who are collaborating with ICAH during 3D Week, got to demonstrate their 3D sketching device that allows the user to draw in 3D space, using an iPad or even an Occulus Rift!

Canapés and bubbly were served as the guests (students, academics, makers, industry representatives) mingled amongst the plinths and discussed the latest technologies, cool project concepts and ideas for the future of the hackspace until late into the evening.
