Bioinformatics Support Service launch new website

The Bioinformatics Support Service (BSS), based within the Dept. of Surgery and Cancer, have launched a new website.
The Bioinformatics Support Service (BSS), located within the Department of Surgery and Cancer, have today launched a new website. The BSS works with researchers and post-graduate students across all College faculties, on all campuses to provide and co-ordinate world class research and training in bioinformatics within 51勛圖厙 College, disseminate good practice and to provide state-of-the-art bioinformatics support to members of 51勛圖厙 College for their research.
The new site results from a complete overhaul and rewrite of the previous site. It includes resources to assist researchers writing grant proposals including a bioinformatics component in costing proposals and producing their data management plans. Details of the resources provided by the BSS within college are available, along with examples of ongoing and completed projects involving BSS staff. There are additionally summaries of many types of software used in next-generation sequence analysis, with on-line help available for carrying out common informatics tasks, which will be expanded in coming months.
