On 3rd February 2016, cohort 7 gave a show to an audience of 300 on the theme of 'Quantum Mechanics in a Nutshell.'

On 3^rd February 2016 the students of cohort 7 gave a show to an audience of 300 school children and interested members of the public on the theme of ‘Quantum Mechanics in a Nutshell.’

We worked together, giving a five minute presentation each which fit together to give an overview of the field we are working in, covering lasers, quantum computation and a look at some open problems in quantum mechanics (plus some fun demonstrations of course!). The event was a great success (from our perspective at least!) and we had some interesting discussions with people over drinks afterwards.

One of the audience members we later found out was the organiser of a regular event in London called ‘Nerd Nite’ and has invited a group of us to give a presentation on quantum computation.
