10 years measuring membranes at the Diamond Light Source

Dr Konstantinos Beis’ work at the particle accelerator looks at cell membranes to identify new drug targets and tackle drug resistance.

is the UK’s national synchrotron particle accelerator, located at the Harwell Science and Innovation Campus in Oxfordshire. The synchrotron accelerates electrons through sequences of magnets until they reach almost the speed of light, producing very bright light.
