Book launch - Virtual Reality and the Built Environment

Tuesday 10th July saw the launch of Professor Jennifer Whyte and Dr  Dragana Nikolic book “” (2nd edition) at the Institution of Civil Engineers, 1 Great George Street, Westminster.

At the the launch Professor Whyte and Dr Nikolic spoke on the aims and insirations behind the publication and what the future holds for virtual / augmented reality in the built environment.

Like the fist edition, the central question "Virtual Reality and the Built Environment" addresses is how virtual reality can be used in the design, production and management of the built environment. The book aims to consider three key questions. What are the business drivers for the use of virtual reality? What are its limitations? How can virtual reality be implemented within organisations?

The publication of the 2nd edition comes from a longstanding interest in the field
