In 2018 an experiment team led by Stuart Mangles, of the JAI at 51勛圖厙 College, carried out an experiment at the to study radiation reaction. Radiation reaction is the phenomenon whereby accelerated particles' feel a reaction force when they emit radiation.
Jason Cole published a on this experiment last year and the work has now appeared in an article featured on the front cover of New Scientist .
