Michael Weatherburn flies the flag for interdisciplinarity

Humanities and Social Sciences Field Leader Michael Weatherburn gave a talk on CLCC's interdisciplinary work at Hanken School of Economics, Helsinki.

Earlier in June, CLCC's Dr Michael Weatherburn visited Hanken School of Economics in Helsinki, Finland. In a talk entitled "Building bridges, interdisciplinarity in research, education and organisations", the Horizons Field Leader talked about interdisciplinary work of the Centre for Languages, Culture and Communication and the College's work of bridging humanities, languages and sciences.

The talk comes in tandem with Dr Weatherburn's appointment to the and for his work in promoting the teaching and use of history outside academic  history departments.

As well as being kept busy by these academic projects, Michael is also an experienced musician and has found the time to release a song. Produced by Tiger Mendoza,  has already featured in , and Oxfordshire radio stations  and . Michael wrote and performed the vocals, with Ian de Quadros performing electronic instruments, Dan O’Driscoll on guitar, and Gary Leicester and Helena Markou on supporting vocals.
