The 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Fungal Science Network hosts thirty in-person attendees for a symposium (hybrid event) at South Kensington Campus

51³Ô¹ÏÍø Fungal Science Network symposium: Population genomics, antimicrobial resistance and immune responses to Aspergillus fumigatus

A series of symposia organised by the Fungal Science Network bring together researchers at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø and beyond to tackle global challenges in fungal science.

Professor Darius Armstrong-James, director of the Fungal Science Network, organised its first symposium on population genomics, antimicrobial resistance and immune responses to the human pathogen Aspergillus fumigatus, causative agent of aspergillosis in immunocompromised individuals.

The symposium was held as a synchronous hybrid event on Tuesday 29^th November, 15:00-17:00, room G47A, Flowers Building, South Kensington Campus. It was attended by ca. 30 individuals in person and many more remotely. Speakers included Darius Armstrong-James, Alexiane Decout, Mat Fisher, July Xiaochun Liang, Yan Liu / Ten Feizi, and Anna Reed. Following the excellent oral presentations, attendees enjoyed drinks and further networking at the Flowers foyer
