Ed Tate named 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Enterprise Academic Entrepreneur of the Year
We’re proud to share that Ed Tate has been named Academic Entrepreneur of the Year at 51³Ô¹Ï꿉۪s celebration of entrepreneurial excellence
The event, held on 9th July 2025, shone a spotlight on researchers and staff turning bold ideas into real-world impact. Ed was recognised for his entrepreneurial leadership as co-founder and CSO of Myricx Bio, which raised a £90 million ($114 million) Series A in 2024 to advance a new class of N-myristoyltransferase inhibitor-based ADCs into the clinic; Myricx is now on track to enter the clinic in 2026. The award celebrates Ed’s commitment to translating fundamental chemical biology research into breakthrough cancer therapeutics, and his long-standing support for deep-tech innovation at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø and beyond.
