Worried your CV is lacking in experience?

Consider volunteering!
Corporate responsibility is increasingly important to organisations. Many are working to incorporate sustainable development into their business models; choosing to focus on environmental, philanthropic and ethical activities. Consequently, having volunteering experience can make you a more desirable candidate. It is also a great way to positively impact the wider community and grow as an individual.
When including voluntary work on your CV, don’t just detail what you did. Instead, highlight the skills you gained through the experiences you had. This will also come in useful during interviews and application processes when you are asked about having worked in a team, planned an activity or solved a problem. Check out our CVs and resumes and Applications and interviews webpages for more advice.
