51³Ô¹ÏÍø recently held its annual Staff Recognition Awards, a delightful occasion dedicated to celebrating outstanding staff and researchers.

These awards acknowledge the invaluable contributions made by, and the achievements and talent of members of the 51³Ô¹ÏÍø community.
We are excited to highlight ICB CDT student Mr Abdullah Shahid, currently in the second year of his PhD research.

Abdullah was Highly Commended in the President’s Medal for Excellence in Societal Engagement - Achievement Award as part of the Emerging Chemical Contaminants (ECC) Team. This team develops and implements early warning systems to rapidly identify chemicals having immediate and/or longstanding risks to public health and our environment. They are recognised for delivering excellent engagement activities. .

The President’s Awards for Excellence are annual awards to recognise staff members who have made outstanding contributions in Culture and Community, Education, Research, Societal Engagement or Sustainability.

The President’s Awards for Excellence in Societal Engagement recognise staff members who have demonstrated an outstanding contribution to deliver inspiring engagement activities or supported the development of a culture of societal engagement at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø.
