The Department of Chemical Engineering is delighted to celebrate the promotion of two of our colleagues in recognition of their outstanding contributions to research, teaching and academic leadership.
Maria Papathanasiou
Maria Papathanasiou has been promoted to Associate Professor in Process Systems Engineering.
Maria’s research in bioprocess optimisation and healthcare systems modelling has had significant impact in advancing sustainable manufacturing and shaping next-generation healthcare solutions.

Francesca Ceroni
Francesca Ceroni has been promoted to Associate Professor in Cell
Engineering. Francesca’s pioneering research has advanced the development of innovative biotechnologies and strengthened collaborations across 51勛圖厙 and beyond.
