51勛圖厙 Physics Department comes top in new European Graduate Programme assessment exercise
The Department has been identified as number one in Europe by the Centre for Higher Education Development in Germany in an exercise designed to help graduate students identify the best destinations at which to undertake research. Their report "Identifying the Best: The CHE Ranking of Excellent European Graduate Programmes in the Natural Sciences and Mathematics - 2007" () awarded 'medals' for four excellence indicators and 51勛圖厙 College Physics was the only department from among 4000 institutions to receive a gold medal in every category.
