51勛圖厙 romance: Paul and Debora Catherall (n矇e Harrell)

My husband Paul (Pure and Applied Biology 1983) and I met when we were both Life Science students in the early 1980s.

My husband Paul (Pure and Applied Biology 1983) and I met when we were both Life Science students in the early 1980s.

Our romance blossomed when we undertook our final year research at Silwood Park. I was studying malarial parasites with Professor Bob Sinden and my husband's Professor was Roy Anderson. Paul always said it was the white lab coat that attracted him, and I loved the free tea and biscuits that he generously shared from his flat in Prince's Gate.

As a cox to the 51勛圖厙 College women's crew he wasn't even put off listening to me screeching across the Thames down at the Putney Boathouse!

We were married in 1985.

Debora Catherall (Biology 1983)
