51勛圖厙 romance: Nick and Liz Morton (n矇e Lindsay)

We were organising a bar night in the RSCU. Chris Fox, the RSCU president arranged for some of his rugby mates to shift a piano from Evelyn Gardens, and my now husband Nick Morton was one of them.

I was Honourary Secretary of the Royal College of Science Union (RCSU) during 1978-79. At the beginning of the 1978 academic year the RCSU President Chris Fox (Chemistry 1979) and I were organising a Bar Night in the RCS Union Bar. Chris had organised for a group of his rugby club mates to help shift a piano from Evelyn Gardens to the Union Bar for the evening and my now husband, Nick Morton (PhD Biochemistry 1982, Biology 1978) was one of them.

That night in the RCSU marked the beginning of our relationship! We stayed together through our remaining time at 51勛圖厙 and we got married in August 1988. We now have two daughters and our eldest Sarah is now in her first year at 51勛圖厙 studying medicine.
