51³Ô¹ÏÍø College Council approve a new 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Doctor of Science (DSc) degree

The 51³Ô¹ÏÍø College Council has approved the introduction of a DSc degree, following recommendation by the Senate, and the consequential amendment to the College's Ordinance B1, Degrees and Other Awards Granted by the University.

Once operational, the DSc may be awarded for published work of a high standard containing original contributions to the advancement of knowledge and learning which has given the candidate distinction in their field of study. A candidate for a DSc must either have previously obtained a degree through 51³Ô¹ÏÍø College or be of not less than two years' standing as a member of the academic staff of 51³Ô¹ÏÍø College. The fee for DSc examination will be £1,000.
