This year’s IDEA League inter-university competition was held in Zurich last week, with 51³Ô¹ÏÍø teams producing some tremendous performances to finish 2nd overall.

This year’s IDEA League inter-university competition was held in Zurich last week, with 51³Ô¹ÏÍø teams producing some tremendous performances to finish 2^nd overall – only narrowly beaten by the hosts from Zurich by 2 points.

The annual event opened with students from 51³Ô¹ÏÍø, TU Delft, ETH Zurich and RWTH Aachen forming mixed teams for a curling tournament. After dinner, the students then enjoyed an ice-skating disco.

Down to business and 51³Ô¹ÏÍø dominated the fencing competition, with Outi Supponen, Rob Shaw, Charlotte Levin and Marcello Colombino from the 51³Ô¹ÏÍø 1^st team taking the spoils impressively. Outi Supponen proved the strongest in foil, only dropping 1 point throughout the whole event!

Both men’s and women’s 51³Ô¹ÏÍø futsal teams performed really well to finish in 2^nd place, with our ice hockey team also finishing 2^nd overall.
