Commemorating Disability History Month 2025

was founded in 2010 to facilitate and support the teaching of the history of disabled persons across the UK. The aim of this movement was to raise awareness of the ableism present in our society but also to develop an understanding of the roots of this inequality and to commemorate the actions of disabled people in the past who have fought for change.

Curious about eco-ableism? The Disability Advisory Service will be running a stall from 12.00 - 14.00 on Monday 24 November to raise awareness of how disabled people are often excluded from environmental activism and policies. You'll find them on the Sherfield Walkway.
