Innovation, collaboration, and the future of drug discovery were on full display this week as the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Chemical Biology (ICB CDT) took part in the 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Ecosystem Fair 2026.

Hosted at the vibrant I-HUB, in the heart of the White City Innovation District, the 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Ecosystem Fair was a unique opportunity for businesses to connect to 51³Ô¹ÏÍø's world-class resources that support innovation and growth, bringing together teams from across 51³Ô¹ÏÍø’s innovation ecosystem for a one-day exploration of all that this exceptional community has to offer. This popular event offered businesses a clear and practical way to explore facilities, flexible workspace, talent, academic expertise and collaboration opportunities in a single visit to I-HUB in White City Campus.

As a cornerstone of 51³Ô¹ÏÍø’s doctoral training, the ICB CDT stall drew interest from students and industry partners alike. The CDT’s mission, to train the next generation of physical scientists with the skills to tackle biological problems on a molecular level, resonated strongly with the fair’s theme of cross-disciplinary solutions.

Visitors to the ICB CDT stall were treated to a deep dive into the Centre’s latest initiatives, including translational success stories, showcasing how CDT alumni have successfully spun out startups and transitioned into leadership roles within the biotech and pharmaceutical sectors and industry partnership pathways, including engagement with prospective partners and discussions around how the CDT’s bespoke training programmes can be tailored to meet the evolving needs of the global chemical biology market.
