The Roessler Group had a strong presence at the EuroBIC 2026 conference in Groningen, with talks from Professor Roessler and Angeliki Chatziathanasiou and posters from Dr. Blaise Geoghegan and Srija Ghosh. Srija also received a poster prize for her work developing a new class of antibiotics.

The Roessler Group were well-represented at the 2026 European Biological Inorganic Chemistry Conference in Groningen, Netherlands. Professor Roessler gave a talk entitled 'Extending the Reach of Pulse-EPR in Bioinorganic Chemistry: Superconducting Microresonators for Characterization of Metal Centres in Thin Films' and fourth year PhD student Angeliki Chatziathanasiou also presented her work on a novel activity assay for photosynthetic complex I. Both were extremely well received, and sparked interested scientific discussion. In addition, both post-doc Dr. Blaise Geoghegan and 2nd year PhD student Srija Ghosh presented posters at the conference, with Srija Ghosh awarded a prize for her work on developing a new class of antibiotics. Overall the Roessler Lab had a great experience at this highly multidisciplinary conference, which fitted well with the diverse biological inorganic chemistry research undertaken in the group.
