The CPE's management team meets monthly to discuss funding opportunities, CPE seminars, symposia and other events, general management issues and research activities.

Advisory Board

The CPE has an External Advisory Board made up of industrial and academic members from around the globe to advise the management team on factors it sees as important to maintain and progress the CPE as a Centre of Excellence in the field of processable electronics. The Board meets at least annually and is kept abreast of CPE activities throughout the year.

Research Groups

51³Ô¹ÏÍø's Centre of Excellence in Processable Electronics brings together a wide community of research groups from across 51³Ô¹ÏÍø, all working on processable electronic materials: from material synthesis and characterisation, through modelling and simulation of materials and their properties, to device fabrication and testing.

CPE Industry Collaborations

The CPE welcomes opportunities to collaborate with industry to catalyse high-impact CPE research that addresses industrial needs and to develop a programme of scientific training to develop highly-skilled and knowledgeable workers in industry.

Our Industrial Members

 

We have four levels of collaboration: 

  1. CPE industry partner
  2. Industry sponsor of an MRes project
  3. Industry sponsor of a PhD project
  4. Industrial sponsored research

CPE industry partners, £2000:

  • have access to the most recent CPE research
  • are invited to core CPE activities, such as the annual symposium, Christmas symposium and CPE workshops
  • are invited to speak at the CPE industry day
  • receive the CPE newsletter
  • have their logo on the CPE website

Industry sponsor of an MRes project: £5000

  • CPE industry partner rights
  • Access to CPE facilities
  • Invitation to submit and co-supervise an MRes project proposal (6-month research project) on an industry-related topic
  • Company pitch to MRes students
  • Invitation to end-of-year MREs project presentations

It is also possible to provide a scholarship for an MRes student.

Industry sponsor of a PhD project:

  • CPE industry partner rights
  • Access to CPE facilities
  • Industry-sponsored 3.5 PhD project on topic proposed by industry partner
  • Simplified IP options
