Science to transform healthcare and health
Health has always been one of humanity’s greatest challenges, and one of its greatest triumphs.
The Health and Technology theme drives convergence between disciplines and technologies, conducting transformational research to shift the global conversation from treating illness to sustaining lifelong health – across diverse populations, geographies and systems.
Our approach is bold, integrative and impact-led. Working across 51³Ô¹ÏÍø and beyond, we are redefining how health research is done, who it serves, and what it can achieve – creating a fairer, healthier and more resilient future for all and are focusing on three key problems:
- Health inequity, driven by social, economic, and environmental factors
- Spiralling global health costs
- Sudden shocks, such as pandemics, conflict and climate disasters, necessitating health system resilience
We’re led by a team of four leaders from across 51³Ô¹ÏÍø’s faculties who are converging their collective expertise, networks and know-how to transform research across Health and Technology:
