Reinventing Health & Technology for a Resilient Future
The Health and Technology theme has the potential to deliver transformative societal impact by reshaping how health is sensed, protected, and supported in everyday life—locally and globally.
Through the AITHÄ’R mission, the School’s H&T theme aims to advance new ways to monitor, understand, and influence health in real-world settings, from living diagnostics and effortless sensing to digital twins and adaptive behavioural interventions. These innovations will enable proactive, personalised health ecosystems that prevent problems earlier, respond dynamically to change, and integrate seamlessly into people’s environments.
Complementing this, UBUNTU focuses on ensuring global equity by developing accessible, affordable, effortless crisis‑ready platforms—such as locally adaptable therapeutics, rapid discovery‑to‑deployment pipelines, and resilient health operating systems. Together, the missions tackle both the technological frontier and the structural barriers that perpetuate global health inequity.
Their combined impact includes improved resilience to shocks, earlier detection and prevention of illness, strengthened community and national health capabilities, and a global shift toward health systems that are continuous, adaptive, and fair. Ultimately, the theme positions 51³Ô¹ÏÍø to help build a future in which health is effortless, accessible, and equitable for all.
