Andrés graduated from the MSc Science Media Production in 2009. He is an author, radio presenter and TV host in Mexico City, where he also directs the , a public engagement initiative that takes science into bars.

“The time that I spent in London studying at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø College could not have been more decisive for my career – and that is no exaggeration. Among other things, it was invaluable for the contacts I made. One of my classmates, Natalia Jardon, became my professional partner and together we founded the Society of Anonymous Scientists in 2016. I continue to co-ordinate the Society, holding monthly Café Scientifique-type events in bars in more than twenty  cities around Mexico.

“The narrative module was fundamental for me. It was the first time I’d tried creative writing and through it, I discovered my literary vocation! In my nature writing, I continue to put into in practice what I learnt then, with five published books and two more on the way. And of course, what we learnt about documentary film gave me the skills to work as a researcher and developer for big film projects with platforms such as Netflix (for whom I am currently working on a film, but that’s a secret for now!). Thanks to everything I learned at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø, turning to a humanities approach to science was undoubtedly an experience that changed my life for the better.”
