Introduction to the Anisotropic Telescope
An energetic particle detector built within the Space and Atmospheric Physics Group at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø College to measure ions in the MeV energy range. This two telescope sectored instrument has 16 look directions per spacecraft spin, and particle anisotropies (the coefficients of a spherical harmonic expansion of the particle fluxes) can be calculated.
Part of the COSPIN (Cosmic Ray and Solar Particle Investigation) collaboration. The COSPIN instruments measure different types of particles across a diverse range of energies. Below is a picture of the COSPIN box, with the two ATs telescopes visible within the yellow frame.
