Post Occupancy Evaluation/Post Project Review

Post Occupancy Evaluation (POE)

Description

The Post Occupancy Evaluation (POE) is a structured process to evaluate a building or refurbished space after it has been occupied. POE surveys should be distributed to key stakeholders and reviewed at 6 months and 12 months post-occupancy. The objective of the POE is to assess whether the completed project meets the original brief, user needs, sustainability targets and operational requirements of 51³Ô¹ÏÍø. The comments taken from these surveys should feed into the Post Project Review (PPR) and lessons learned processes to establish best practices for future projects.

Post Project Review (PPR)

Description

The Post Project Review (PPR) is a structured review of the overall project delivery process following the sign-off of the PM34 Practical Completion and Handover Checklist. The PPR evaluates project performance against the agreed objectives, programme, budget, operational requirements etc as defined in the Project Initiation Document (PID), or Project Notification Document (PND) for smaller Continuous Improvement Works projects. A successful PPR should ideally capture lessons learned from all RIBA stages, identify areas of good practice as well as areas for improvement for future projects at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø.
