The Beyond Ethnicity Career conference (BECC) is aimed at early career professionals in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, medicine (STEMM) and business who are from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) backgrounds or other minoritised groups.

This year’s theme is What’s the fuss about EDI? Navigating the Diversity Backlash. Discover what the current EDI landscape looks like and how geopolitical changes may impact you as an individual. Attend talks on:

  • What does the current EDI landscape look like?
  • How will it impact on how you take control of your career journey?
  • How will you navigate systems that were not created to support the progression of anyone who is not from a dominant group?

BECC aims to empower and equip individuals early in their careers from minoritised ethnicities with the tools and skills required to thrive in academia and beyond. This conference creates a space to expose you to inspiring role models and provides practical advice on how to understand how EDI may support your career, now and in the future.
