Over two days, North Campus at White City Campus will come alive with events and activities open to all.
The Where Great Ideas Grow event brings together hands-on making, inspiring showcases, interactive learning, great food and live music.
The event is designed to foster opportune encounters, enable cross‑disciplinary exchange and strengthen connections amongst the White City Campus community.

Breathe London Communities
Discover Breathe London Communities (BLC) air pollution monitoring network. Visit and interact to find out more about air pollution, how it affects us and why it matters.
MSRH Chemistry
Come by and explore the relationships between sensory perception, colour metrics, and compositional data—can you match sensation with analytical evidence?Ìý Alongside this, see what analytical instrumentation Chemistry has to offer, come and talk with expert technical staff!
Institute of Chemical Biology
Discover how innovative technologies are helping scientists understand and manipulate the world around us. This showcase from the Institute of Chemical Biology will feature demonstrations of photosynthesis using green algae, illustrating how living systems capture and use light energy. Alongside this, explore the fascinating world of microfluidics and 3D printing, and see how these technologies are enabling researchers to create new experimental systems and approaches to biological research.

Absolute Beginners × Circular Economy School — Products from Waste
Absolute Beginners is a not-for-profit factory in Park Royal where young people learn how to make everyday products in radically sustainable ways. With these products on display it will be a chance to speak directly with the makers about circular design, skills, waste streams and alternative models of manufacturing.
Dako Darkroom
Park Royal-based Dako Darkroom will be introducing audiences to one of photography’s earliest camera-less processes. Working with pre-sensitised paper, drop by and create compositions using plants, found materials, objects and prepared imagery before exposing their work directly to daylight.
Kate Grimes
Kate Grimes will be offering an accessible encounter with contemporary bookbinding and paper craft, with Kate able to demonstrate and discuss techniques including paper selection and grain direction, folding, sewing, binding and cover-making.
Taipa Lab
Taipa Lab is the Park Royal material and design laboratory of Victor Pedrosa, whose background spans chemistry, physics and computational neuroscience (all at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø) before turning to ceramics and earth-based construction. Come by to see how this research-led approach translates into a simple collective act of making, connecting material science, construction, waste and participation.

Arborea is redefining the future of food with its groundbreaking BioSolarâ„¢ Leaf technology, a breathing cultivation system capable of converting waste COâ‚‚ into superfood ingredients on non-fertile land. Visit their stand to taste samples of delicious, everyday food products made with BioSolarâ„¢ Spirulina and discover how microalgae could reshape the future of food.
Maison Miles
Maison Miles is a small, independent drinks house and craft distillery in London, producing limited-edition drinks through fermentation, distillation, ageing and blending, Come visit them to have guided kombucha tastings and introduction to fermentation, inviting participants to taste their newly developed kombucha while discovering the process behind its production.

Wednesday 30th September
A drop in entry level Yoga session run by 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Move. Come and join us for as long or as little as you like. This session will be led by a qualified Yoga instructor who regularly delivers sessions on White City Campus! We will provide all equipment and the session will be designed for you to jump in and out to suit your schedule!
Thursday 1st October
A drop in entry level Pilates session run by 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Move. Come and join us for as long or as little as you like. This session will be led by a qualified Pilates instructor who regularly delivers sessions on White City Campus! We will provide all equipment and the session will be designed for you to jump in and out to suit your schedule!
There will also be the opportunity to try Mini Red Tennis, have a chat and find out how to become LTA Free Park Tennis Activator!
Live music from local DJs – ambient afternoons and feel‑good evenings
Food and drink – a great selection of options will be available throughout both days.
