What will we cover?

Whatever your area of research, intellectual property (IP) in all its forms can be an essential component of commercialising your AI-related research in order to generate meaningful impact.

In this session, IP experts will cover key points that researchers in applied AI – whatever their field – need to know about IP, and 51³Ô¹ÏÍø founders will share their perspectives on how they have used IP to transform their research into commercial success.

• Introduction to key concepts including the patentability of AI inventions, copyright of AI-generated work and code, Inventorship, Authorship and Ownership
• When is IP protection appropriate in AI-related research and how to decide
• What sorts of data are relevant to AI and which can be protected – and how?
