Commercialisation Executive, Faculty of Engineering
Valeska Gonzalez is a Commercialisation Executive in the Faculty of Engineering at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø. She leads the assessment, protection and commercialisation of intellectual property from the Departments of Materials, Chemical Engineering and Earth Science and Engineering. Her work focuses on advancing high-potential research into impactful technologies through licensing and spin-out formation.
Valeska holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Surrey, sponsored by BP, as well as an MSc in Petroleum Refining Systems Engineering and a degree in Chemical Engineering. Before joining 51³Ô¹ÏÍø, she worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Surrey, an Associate Technology Transfer Executive at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Innovations, and as a plant engineer in industry—blending technical depth with commercial experience.
