Boost your career confidence this summer

As we begin the final semester of the 2025–2026 academic year, many of you will be balancing revision, coursework, and exams. If you are currently sitting assessments, we’d like to wish you the very best of luck!

As you move through the rest of the summer term, it’s also a great time to pause, reflect, and invest in your future. Whether you’re preparing for graduation, exploring internships, or simply starting to think about what might come next, the Careers Service is here to support you every step of the way. And if you’re unsure, that’s okay; we’re here to help you figure things out!

Once exams are over, or even alongside your revision, you may find space to focus on building confidence, developing skills, and taking practical steps towards your career goals.

How we can help you

Book a one-to-one appointment

Our careers consultants can help with everything from clarifying your career ideas to reviewing your CV, cover letters, or application forms. Appointments can also focus on interview preparation, assessment centres, postgraduate options, or managing career uncertainty. No question is ever too big or too small!

Browse opportunities on JobsLive

JobsLive is our dedicated vacancies platform, featuring graduate roles, internships, placements, part-time work and volunteering opportunities. New roles are added regularly, making it a great place to keep an eye on opportunities that align with your interests, skills and availability over the summer and beyond.

Attend careers fairs and employer events

Our summer term careers fairs and employer-led events are an excellent opportunity to explore sectors, learn about different career paths, and connect directly with recruiters and alumni. Whether you arrive with clear goals or are just curious, these events can help you gain insight, ask questions, and make valuable contacts.

Sign up for seminars and skills workshops

From CV writing and interview skills to networking, LinkedIn, and psychometric tests, our seminars and workshops are designed to build practical skills and confidence.

Or simply drop by and say hello

You don’t always need an appointment to engage with the Careers Service. We’re happy to welcome you in person for a chat, to answer quick questions, or to help you figure out what support might be useful for you.

How to find us

The Careers Service is open Monday to Friday, 10.00–17.00, on the fifth floor of the Sherfield Building.
