Courses at the Early Career Researcher Institute (ECRI)

ECRI's Research Computing and Data Science Programme (RCDS) teaches short, hands-on courses ranging from introductory to advanced topics. All ECRI tutors have research backgrounds and will help you to develop new skills to underpin your research project. There is also a Useful Resources section to further support you.

Research Computing Service in ICT

This group manages and supports the high performance computing (HPC) cluster. This is where most of the university students and staff run their scientific computations. Specialised training, user support via ASK 51³Ô¹ÏÍø and weekly Teams clinics are available. The Service also provides Research Software Engineering expert advice.

Getting support

For support relating to Research Computing issues, jobs, problems with submission scripts, applications, and issues with HPC software in general, you can ask for support by raising the appropriate ticket.
