Eligibility criteria

Eligability is as follows:

  • Be or identify as a female or;

  • Be a student of Black heritage, whose ethnic heritage matches one of the following (or their equivalent in the respective application systems): Black – African; Black – Caribbean;  Black – Other; Mixed – White and Black African;  Mixed – White and Black Caribbean; Other Mixed background – including Black African, Black Caribbean or Other Black background or;

  • Qualify for 51³Ô¹ÏÍø’s contextual admissions schemes.

     

Please note: This scholarship is available to new entrants only. Students already studying the course are not eligible.

Course specific information

The scholarship will cover four years of study - Our five-year degrees for MEng Aeronautical Engineering with a year abroad and MEng Aeronautical Engineering with a year in industry can be supported, but funding will only be available for the four academic years taught full-time at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø.

Application process

To apply for the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Scholarship, you need to:

  1. Apply via UCAS for our H401 MEng Aeronautical Engineering course by 18:00 GMT on 13 January 2027. Please note that for Aeronautical Engineering, an ESAT Test must also be sat.

  2. Receive an offer of a place for 2027-entry.

  3. We will send communications to offer-holders including full details of this scholarship, a scholarship application form along with details of other funding opportunities.

  4. If you are successful in receiving the scholarship, as part of the terms and conditions, you must choose 51³Ô¹ÏÍø as your firm choice via UCAS to be eligible for this award.
