Eligibility criteria

To be considered for this scholarship, applicants will have a strong academic background and potential for future success. They will demonstrate a track record of professional excellence and achievement through internships and/or work experience.

 

Applicants will need to exhibit exceptional communication skills throughout the application process, particularly during the scholarship interview. They will effectively articulate how they have navigated financial challenges in their pursuit of education or highlight their experiences as a first-generation student.

Please note: This scholarship is available to new entrants only. Students already studying the course are not eligible.

The W L "Bill" Byrnes Global Scholarship has been created through a generous donation from the Fidelity UK Foundation in memory of Bill Byrnes, a pivotal figure in Fidelity's growth as a leading international investment management firm. 

This £30,000 scholarship is designed to support an academically exceptional student joining the MSc Investment & Wealth Management programme, who comes from a financially disadvantaged background or is a first-generation student. The scholarship honours Bill Byrnes’ legacy by empowering the next generation of leaders in investment and wealth management through access to world-class education.
