ICEF makes seed investments in early-stage, high-growth, research-intensive businesses that have emerged from 51³Ô¹ÏÍø's enterprising ecosystem. These could be spinouts based directly on academic research or deep science businesses developed by students.
ICEF has invested in 12 companies to date through its first three funds.

How do the funds work?
51³Ô¹ÏÍø Enterprise acts as an advisor to the 51³Ô¹ÏÍø College Enterprise Funds by sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities from 51³Ô¹ÏÍø’s enterprising ecosystem.
Opportunities are reviewed by the fund’s Investment Committee, which makes the final recommendation on investments from the fund.
