Introduction to personal tutoring
Workshop details
The workshop consists of 2 x two and a half-hour sessions plus approximately one hour of pre-session work and 30 mins of post-session work. You will be required to attend both face-to-face sessions.
The March session will be a full day workshop.

Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Agree expectations and establish early rapport to facilitate a supportive tutor-tutee relationship;
- Identify and respond to the range of reasons why tutees seek a personal tutor's help;
- Use appropriate strategies to support and help to develop tutees;
- Recognise the sources of support and development for students and personal tutors at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø;
- Respond inclusively to the needs of a diverse range of students;
- Evaluate the issues surrounding confidentiality and disclosure.
