3.5-year doctoral training studentships which combine academic and industry training experiences to develop excellent biomedical researchers and deliver impactful, world-leading research.

51³Ô¹ÏÍø’s MRC MultiSci iCASE programme

This programme provides a fully funded, 3.5-year training opportunity, which aims to stimulate the development of researchers equipped with the quantitative and technological skills required to conduct and lead cutting edge research in applied medical biosciences.
  • Each studentship is tied to a specific Collaborative Award in Science and Engineering (CASE) partner who will provide you with industry perspectives and related training ce.g., discovery vs. development activities, the R&D value chain and investment decisions, regulatory considerations and processes, user experience or real-world challenges. Where relevant, partners will also provide you with access to specialised equipment or in-house data. You will spend a minimum of 3 months working directly with your CASE partner during your studentship.
  • Each studentship is integrated into MultiSci’s training and support structure. As part of a cohort, you will undertake training and development opportunities across a breadth of skills and topics, selected to complement the academic and scientific training you engage in during your research project. Topics will vary from year-to-year, and there is flexibility to tailor these to the interests and priorities of each cohort. MultiSci will also provide you with 1:1 mentorship and wellbeing support.
