The undergraduate (UG) Senior Tutor Learning Network was created to encourage stronger ties for Senior Tutors and encourage networking across 51³Ô¹ÏÍø.

The Learning Network aims to:

  1. Create a community which connects and supports Senior Tutors (UG) in their role
  2. Enable opportunities for Senior Tutors to share best practice and learn from the experiences of others
  3. Share best practice with a community of staff in similar roles at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø
  4. Identify where there are gaps in support provision offered centrally by 51³Ô¹ÏÍø which could be explored further by the Education Office and other student support teams

The establishment of the Senior Tutor (UG) Learning Network follows that of the postgraduate (PG) Senior Tutor Forum and has strong links to it.

The Senior Tutor (UG) Learning Network meets termly and Dr Elizabeth Day is the group’s Chair.

Annually, the Learning Network hosts an event open to all personal tutors at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø, to provide an opportunity for bettered links between new personal tutors and existing personal tutors, and create a connected community.
